Celebration of World Ranger Day 2025!

World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide to honor the dedication and crucial work rangers do every day around the globe! This year, the theme is “Rangers, Powering Transformative Conservation”. This reminds us that rangers are not only protectors, but changemakers. Rangers are on the front line protecting wildlife and forests. Their work is dangerous and vital  and we are grateful for them. In Madagascar, rangers are commonly named “polisin’ala”.

At KAFS, we took part in this celebration by planting 15,000 trees including native and pioneer species, from KAFS to Vatovavy, Vitanona and Tsitola East.

Forest rangers from three local community-based organizations (VOIs)  Tsitola, Taratry Vatovavy, and Tontolo Maitso  joined our field team as volunteers during the event. Their presence reflects the strong partnerships we continue to build.

At MBP, we work closely with local rangers, DREDD (Regional Representative of the Ministry of Environment) , and the Gendarmerie through joint forest patrols and by constantly sharing field updates. This collaboration strengthens protection efforts and supports the long-term conservation of our forests and wildlife

We extend our heartfelt thank you  to all of our lifelong partners for supporting us and helping us to grow in this vision!
