Approximately 80–90% of Madagascar’s wildlife is endemic. For certain groups (like plants, mammals, reptiles), endemism exceeds 90%. Every tree planted contributes directly to creating safe spaces for these species, combating deforestation and preserving biodiversity.

Since 2010, MBP has connected forest protection with community needs. We don’t just plant trees, we grow forests that both wildlife and people need. Every tree you gift to us directly supports:
Critically Endangered lemurs (Black-and-white ruffed lemurs) with native fruit trees and Endangered lemurs (Aye-aye) with protein-rich seed trees.
Planters, mostly women, who carefully grow forests. They bring care and knowledge from farming to reforestation, doing exceptional work planting trees.
Local communities who protect these forests.
We moved beyond common pioneer species ( eg: Acacia spp ) to plant resilient native species that grow in tough conditions, feed lemurs, pioneer forest recovery and connect fragments wildlife habitats.
