  • Threatened by illegal logging, hunting, and slash-and-burn agriculture

GIVB is completly sustainable through the use of solar panels for electricity.

Furthermore, staying here offers a chance to witness iconic lemurs in their natural environment, while supporting ongoing conservation efforts to protect them.

A Glimpse into our Treehouse bungalows!

MBP is aslo involved in forest restoration in the Alaotra Mangoro region, in partnership with regional organizations (Asity, Andasibe/Mantadia National Park, Andasibe commune, and independent VOIs). MBP works closely with grassroots organizations by providing them seedlings of endemic tree species through its reforestation program.

In collaboration with Re:wild and local organizations, 40,000 trees were planted in 2023, and 204,000 trees in 2024.

Activities include patrolling along with dedicated monitoring of Critically Engangered (CR) Southern black-and-white ruffed lemur  and  Endangered (EN) Aye-aye.
