In the Malagasy capital of Antananarivo December 11-12, 2010, MBP, Conservation Fusion and the Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) participated in a unique educational event focused on the critically endangered radiated tortoise. Together with Conservation International, this partnership shared a booth at the event to raise awareness of their work in the region by using soccer – a very popular sport in Madagascar. Herilala Randriamahazo, TSA’s Malagasy Tortoise Conservation Coordinator, who currently operates out of the MBP Madagascar Headquarters, spoke of the need to help protect Madagascar’s tortoises.
