Intro Bio:
“Hello! My name is Katherine Day and I’m a 22 year old outdoor enthusiast. I’m a recent graduate of the “miracle class” from Sweet Briar College and during my four years there I accomplished not only receiving a biology degree but also a psychology degree all amidst the chaos of last year’s attempted closing. I’m from a small town in rural southwest Virginia and as such have had an extensive amount of time to learn to appreciate nature and all its wonder as I’ve grown up. Earning a degree in biology has only furthered my interests in learning about and enjoying the outdoors and I am so excited to become involved in conservation! I’ve not had much experience in the field outside of sweet briar so I’m looking forward to my first post-graduation plans involving something meaningful I’m which I can gain experience and learn even more!
In my spare time I enjoy all outdoor activities from biking and hiking to kayaking, etc. I love to read and I love to travel and experience new people and places. I’m so incredibly thankful to have this opportunity and I cannot wait to begin!”
