National Endangered Species Day

Today is National Endangered Species Day and its important to acknowledge all the critically endangered species out there, including the lemurs. Madagascar is considered a biodiversity hotspot and has only about 10% of its original habitat left. Human activity pressures have been the culprit to the loss of 90% of the forests. With this ever-decreasing habitat, Madagascar’s lemur species have become the world’s most threatened group of mammals. ‪#‎EndangeredSpeciesDay‬ ‪#‎MBP‬ ‪#‎Savethelemurs‬      

Sam’s Last Day

This is Sam Ambler’s last day as the Reforestation Supervisor here in Kianjavato. Even on her last day, Sam is busy entering information from the data sheet that she created to make recording the tree species planted be correlated with the GPS data.
