Introducing New Volunteer, Sarah!

Hi! I’m Sarah, I am 28 years old and from Western Australia. I completed Bachelor degrees in both Environmental Biology and Applied Geology back in 2010 and have been working as a hydrogeologist (groundwater studies) in the Australian desert for the last 5+ years. I am in the midst of a quarter life crisis where I am taking an 18 month break from work to travel and volunteer overseas whilst re-evaluating my career. I believe that my core values are urging me to pursue the service of nature conservation and I aim to dedicate the next 18 months to acquiring experiences that will open my mind, help to develop my ideas, and at the same time provide valuable work and life experience. I absolutely love travelling and ‘living rough’ and have hiked and camped in North America, South America, Africa and Australasia. In 2013 I toured Madagascar for 12 days and fell in love with the culture and environment. I can’t wait to meet and work with the MBP staff and local people!
