We’d like to introduce you to this bundle of cuteness, the Ankarana or Sheth’s dwarf lemur (Cheirogaleus shethi).

This newly identified lemur species has just been described by Dr. Frasier, Dr. Louis and the team from Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and the MBP! This dwarf lemur can be found in the dry and transitional forests around Ankarana in northern Madagascar. The identification of this new species highlights the importance of northern Madagascar as a reservoir of biodiversity.

Congrats to all the authors!
