Meet Janelle, Lead Keeper from OHDZA!
I’m the Lead Keeper of the Desert Dome/Kingdoms of the Night for Mammals and Birds at the Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Omaha, Nebraska. I have worked in Desert Dome and Kingdoms of the Night for the last 8.5 years. I work a wide variety of animals including a few of my favorites: fossa, ocelots, pygmy slow loris, and white-nosed coati. My love for prosimians started when I was an intern in the Madagascar department. I am originally from Minnesota and frequently visit to see my mom, sister, two nephews, and niece to help teach them about my love for nature. I enjoy hiking and playing volleyball in my free time.
