Our Director, Dr. Louis, was one of 60 participants at the workshops in Madagascar last week. The workshops were to evaluate the status of species. Of the 103 lemur species known: 23 are critically endangered, 52 are endangered, 19 are vulnerable, 2 are near vulnerable, 3 are least concerned, 4 are data-deficient. This goes to show how important and vital the MBP’s research and projects are to the survival of these amazing and diverse animals and to our environment.
